This new position places you at the heart of exterior coating/building envelope tenders, with significant daily autonomy. You will work closely with project teams to deliver rigorous and competitive bids.

Responsibilities — deliver accurate and competitive bids

  • Analyze plans, specifications, and tender documents to properly frame the scope and technical requirements.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and structure the data necessary for estimation.
  • Evaluate costs of materials, labor, and equipment to build realistic and defendable budgets.
  • Prepare detailed, complete estimates and bids aligned with submission deadlines.
  • Negotiate and obtain required prices from suppliers and subcontractors, then consolidate the information in the file.
  • Verify compliance of proposals with plans, specifications, and applicable regulations before submission.
  • Collaborate with project management teams and participate in kick-off meetings to ensure a smooth transition.

Profile sought — essential requirements and working style

  • Have 4 years of relevant experience in construction estimation in Canada, in exterior coating or building envelope for commercial projects.
  • Hold a degree in architecture, estimation, building design, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Master plan and specification analysis, as well as the production of detailed bids with tight deadline tracking.
  • Effectively use Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, to structure, validate, and present estimation data.
  • Communicate in English at an advanced level in a work context.
  • Work independently, resourcefully, and solution-oriented in an environment where collaboration is daily.
  • Manage priorities with rigor and judgment while delivering consistent results.
